It would be easy to say so many words often heard before and even often said aloud. It would be easy to speak of regret; how it simmers and stews and boils over. It would be harder to stay afloat; the sorrow that drowns often leaves no survivors. It is most difficult to try to fight the waves and pound them with broken fists. But it would be simplest to do nothing but drift waiting for the broken night to end.
